Description
In very good condition with a matching scabbard, we have a Japanese Army type 32 Army Sword. Â This was the Cavalry and NCO sword that was issued beginning in 1899 and stayed in service until 1945. Â The sword came in two sizes: type Ko (a) the longer version for Cavlary use and type Otsu (b) slightly shorter for use by All NCO’s and men in the Military Police and all Master Sergeants. Â The sword was made at the Tokyo Arsenal. Â These swords are not particularly common especially the type Otsu so this is a good find if you collect Japanese swords.
