Description

In excellent condition with a mint bore, we have a June, 1942 production Remington 1903 Modified rifle.  The 1903 Modified was a Remington WW2 version of the 1903 Springfield rifle.  It was soon replaced by a more simplified version with peep sights known as the 1903A3.  Probably immediately after the war the rifle as almost all were was sent to an arsenal for overhaul and re-inspection.  This rifle was sent to Augusta Arsenal in Georgia.  The rifle was placed into storage and was sold some time later by the DCM.  These Remington rifles are highly regarded and somewhat scarce.  This is a good entry level collector example and they are known to be great shooting rifles as well.
