This is the carbine everybody wants…..a Type 1 Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine. This is the iconic weapon of the Normandy Campaign, one of the main weapons carried by the “Band of Brothers”. This is a September 1943 production example and is in excellent condition, This is the real deal, many want it but few will ever own one. This has the early high wood stock which as often was done was lowered down in order to prevent cracking and jamming in combat. Otherwise it is completely factory original and falls into a known serial number range for the this variant. It is very well marked with the crossed cannon cartouche on the bottom of the pistol grip and the circle P on the back of the stock. There are no rework markings. These carbines were made famous by the airborne but were also heavily used by the OSS. Even the great Errol Flynn carried one in the 1945 movie “Operation Burma” . This is a straight up original example. CONSIGNMENT SALE CLIENT MUST SELL!
