This is the carbine everybody wants…..an un-messed with Type 1 Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine. This is the iconic weapon of the Normandy Campaign, one of the main weapons carried by the “Band of Brothers”. This is an August 1943 production example is excellent but slightly combat salty condition, still with the original sling. This is the real deal, many want it but few will ever own one. This has the early high wood and is a text book example of what one of these highly sought after carbines should be. These carbines were made famous by the airborne but were also heavily used by the OSS. Even the great Errol Flynn carried one in the 1945 movie “Operation Burma” . This is a straight up original example.
