This pistol according to factory shipping records was sent to the Ordnance Property Officer at the Army Air Base in Topeka Kansas, in June of 1944. This is the textbook correct shipping box still with the wrapped magazines. You will notice that this is meet in the middle box that was used only on Ithaca made pistols. This is a perfect condition mint new un-issued pistol and bears the internal Ithaca inspection marking of Harold Maws If you are a serious collector of US martial pistols you will know how hard it is to find original boxed WW2 issued 1911a1 pistols.
