In 96% original very clean condition we have a top example of a very early production Ithaca 1911a1 pistol that was manufactured in May of 1943. This pistol came with a very rare and early Sears Saddlery made 1943 dated M3 shoulder holster and indeed they are extremely scarce. I was told that this was vet brought back as you see this rig and was combat carried by a P47 Thunderbolt pilot in Italy. The pistol is very early production and is 100% factory correct with the rare early production flaming bomb inspection marks and the early du-lite sandblasted blue finish. Early production Ithaca pistols such as this are very tough to locate and the holster is also quite rare. This is a great example of an Army Air Corps pilot’s rig.
