SOLD US WW2 COLT OFFICIAL POLICE VERY RARE OCTOBER 1942 GOVERNMENT ISSUE 4 INCH BARREL…WITH BOX!

In 96% original condition, with the original box and target, we have a very scarce Wartime production Colt Official Police Revolver in .38 Special.  This Pistol was manufactured in October, 1942 and may well have been issued to the FBI who took 500 in early 1943.  We were told that the pistol was carried by an agent during the war, and while we have not proof of that It was certainly in Federal Service during WW2.  This comes with a box and test target as well.  During the beginning of the War the Army and The Government were in desperate need for handguns and they took everything that Colt could supply them.
