SOLD UNUSUAL AND DESIRABLE JAPANESE ARMY ISSUE WEBLEY MODEL 1912 .25 AUTO…..BOMBAY INDIA MARKED….JAPANESE CAPTURE?

Here is a very unusual and interesting piece of WW2, we have a Webley Model 1912 vest pocket automatic in .25 acp caliber, a tiny little thing that is store marked to the venerable Bombay Arms & Ammunition Stores at Fort Bombay, India. and………Best of all, it is in a Japanese Army Officers Holster!!! I think that the obvious assumption is that this was captured/surrendered by a British Officer/person and taken into Japanese Military service.  Could have happened at Singapore, Hong Kong, who knows……The only other explanation would be that it was directly Japanese purchased in Bombay.  At any rate there is very significant collector interest in these Japanese Military used small automatic pistols and this is certainly one of the most desirable and interesting examples of this genre that we have ever seen!!!
