IN 95% ORIGINAL CONDITION WE HAVE A NICE EXAMPLE OF A VERY HARD TO FIND JULY 1914 MADE COLT 1911 US ARMY PISTOL. THIS PISTOL WAS ONE OF 350 SENT TO BRIG GENERAL THOMAS J STEWART, HARRISBURG PA FOR THE NATIONAL GUARD OF THAT STATE. . ALMOST CERTAINLY THIS PISTOL SAW ACTION IN WW1 WITH THE PA UNITS THAT WENT INTO THE REGUALR ARMY. THE GUN IS 100% CORRECT INCLUDING THE VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGNAL BARREL. THIS PISTOL FEATURES THE EARLY SHORT HAMMER AND WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE LAST PISTOLS WITH THIS BEFORE THE SWITCH TO A LONGER HAMMER. ALTHOUGH NOT A MINT STUNNER THIS IS A VERY ATTRACTIVE HONEST PISTOL IN A CONDITION THAT HAS A LOT OF ATTRACTION. IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE IT WAS THERE AND DID IT AND IT HAS A LOT OF ROMANTIC APPEAL EVEN TO ME. THESE GUNS ARE REALLY HARD TO FIND WITH MUCH MORE FINISH THAN THIS, THERE WERE NOT ALOT OF THEM AROUND AND THEY STAYED IN SERVICE RIGHT THROUGH WW2.
