Description
In excellent condition, we have a very rare Saginaw S’ prime G’ prime M1 Carbine. These carbines were made out of un-used parts from the cancelled Irwin Pederson contract. There are no and never were any actual Irwin Pederson produced and inspected carbines. The contract was cancelled before carbines were completed and the whole lot of parts were shipped to the Saginaw Plant at Grand Rapids Michigan where they were assembled using a mix of the Pederson made parts and parts from Saginaw and other contractors. This particular example has an IP marked mag release. There is no rhyme or reason to these carbines, but this is example was likely made in August or September of 1943.
