In excellent condition, all matching down to the cleaning rod, we have an important and extremely scarce Steyr Solothurn Model 1929/34 Colombian Service Rifle still in the original 7mm Mauser caliber. You may recognize this rifle as the Original Version of the rifle that became the extremely rare German G.29 O Luftwaffe Rifle. These rifles simply do not exist in the US in this original form, they were all reworked and rebuilt in Colombia to 30-06 caliber and restocked in Vz24 rifle stocks. A few of those rifles made it here but they are also scarce. As far as is known, this is the Only example in original condition in the US. Not only are these rifles scarce, this is in the first 100 made (#98) and is all matching down to the cleaning rod!
The only reason that this rifle is even here is because it was presented to the US Ambassador to Colombia on the occasion of the death of Narco Terrorist Pablo Escobar. Provenance will be provided, but is not being elaborated on further here at the request of the Ambassador. This rifle is thought to have been issued to the Colombian Presidential Palace Guard ( due to selectively nickle plated parts) and when they were withdrawn from active service they were used By the Colombian Army to gift to VIP’s. If you are a serious Mauser collector or South American Contract Rifle Collector you well known what an extremely significant find this rifle is.
