PRE WAR COMMERCIAL MAUSER C96 “BROOMHANDLE” PISTOL…….VERY PLEASANT LOOKING!!!

In 97% original matching condition and very attractive as well, we have a Mauser 7.63m/m  Mauser C96  “Broomhandle” Pistol.  This model is referred to by collectors as the Pre War Commercial model and it was likely made in 1913.  This was not an export pistol, it stayed in Germany and was a GI bring back following WW2 and it just came out of the woodwork. The bore is in excellent condition and the pistol is completely factory original and matching.  This pistol features the earlier safety features and was manufactured before the NS new safety markings.  This is a great example of a pre-WW1 Commercial Broom handle and it is more desirable in that it is not “Germany” stamped for export.
