SOLD US WW2 COLT COMMANDO REVOLVER .38 SPECIAL 4 INCH…SHIPPED TO THE US MARITIME COMMISION

In 99%  mint new condition, we have a US WW2 issued Colt Commando Revolver with the standard 4 inch barrel in .38 Special.  According to Colts this pistol was shipped to the US Maritime Commission Warehouse in McComb Miss. in early 1944.  We have a Colt Letter with this gun.  Likely this revolver was intended to arm the crew of a Liberty Ship or some other type of Merchant Marine vessel it appears to be new and not issued.  While many of the revolvers were issued to guard war plants this seagoing Colt is a much more historically intriguing piece.  Of course this is completely matching and factory original.
