IN A SOLID 92% CONDITION,  WE HAVE A SCARCE CIRCA 1929 GERMAN ARMY NO DATE VARIANT SIMSON & Co SUHL MADE P.08 LUGER PISTOL.  THIS IS 100% CORRECT AND COMPLETE EXAMPLE OF THE VERY RARE AND ELUSIVE SIMSON LUGER.  IT IS ALL MATCHING EXCEPT FOR THE MAGAZINE WHICH IS A RARE SIMSON MAG.   THE BORE IS EXCELLENT.  THE GUN IS COMPLETELY MATCHING AND ALL THE PARTS ARE CORRECTLY SIMSON PROOFED.   THE GRIPS ARE SIMSON PROOFED AND NUMBERED TO THE GUN.  YOU WILL NOTICE THAT MANY OF THE PARTS DOWN TO THE GRIPS SCREWS ARE PROOFED.  THIS PISTOL WAS PROBABLY MADE AROUND 1929-30.    PER THE TERMS OF THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES, SIMSON & SON WAS THE ONLY COMPANY AUTHORIZED TO PRODUCE AND OVERHAUL ARMS FOR THE WIEMAR ERA GERMAN ARMY.  THEY STARTED TO MANUFACTURE LUGERS IN 1925 USING EQUIPMENT OBTAINED FROM THE OLD ERFURT ARSENAL.  THEY ARE RARELY FOUND TODAY BECAUSE THE NEED FOR NEW EQUIPMENT IN THE WIEMAR ERA WAS NOT LARGE, SO FEW WERE MANUFACTURED.   THE COMPANY WAS NATIONALIZED IN 1933 WHEN THE NAZIS CAME TO POWER DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE OWNERSHIP WERE OF JEWISH DECENT.  SIMSON LUGERS ARE EXTREMELY RARE, IN FACT WE GET MANY MORE KRIEGHOFFS IN.  GETTING THIS GUN WAS A REAL SCORE AND FOLKS, YOU BUY THEM WHEN YOU SEE THEM.
