SOLD GERMAN WW1 1917 DWM MADE MAUSER GEWEHR 98 SERVICE RIFLE…….ALL MATCHING….NICE!

In very good all matching condition, with an excellent bore, we have a great example of a  1917 DWM Berlin made German WW1 Gewehr 98 Infantry Service Rifle.  The rifle is all matching down to the screws which is a real challenge on these WW1 rifles.  This is a nice example that has the Beechwood stock that was used when supplies of Walnut became exhausted.  The cartouches are still visible. This is a great example of a rifle made by the largest contractor during the peak war year.  The rifle certainly has seen combat but it is still very presentable.  Finding nice Gew 98 rifles is not easy; they just never show up this nice and are almost impossible to locate still matching.  This is the perfect rifle to have in your hands next time you watch “All Quiet on the Western Front” It will make you feel like you are in the trenches!
