In mint very sharp excellent condition, we have a top example of an early production April, 1944 production Type 2 Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine. This is a stunning example from very early in the second contract run which are encountered with the Slim Jim grip with the side cartouche, low wood and very often with the adjustable rear sight. This is an original condition example and was not a rework or rebuild. The 7/8th inch crossed cannon ordnance cartouche is visible on the bottom of the right side of the pistol grip. This also comes with the original WW2 sling as well. This gun was made early enough that it could have been in Normandy in June of 1944 and certainly could have participated in the later campaigns such as Market Garden. The M1A1 is a very popular and highly sought after piece of equipage and its use in the airborne operations in Europe is legendary. This is a top example and more importantly a genuine example.
