Description

In 98% excellent condition, we have premier example of the very stodgy and rugged Austro-Hungarian WW1 Rast & Gasser Service Revolver. These 8 shot  8mm caliber revolvers were in service with the Austro-Hungarian Empire during WW1 and they stuck around through the end of WW2 being commonly used by all the combatants in central and eastern Europe.  This example is unit marked to an Artillery regt.  These revolvers are somewhat ungainly looking to our eyes but they were extremely well made, very rugged and highly regarded as a combat arm.  They stayed in service with many countries after the war most notably Italy.  Most specimens that you encounter are well worn and not particularly nice, however this is a top example, it is all matching very sharp and the bore is mint. We think that this fine example will have a lot of interest.
