In mint crisp condition and 100% correct we have a very highly sought after example of a rare maker M1 carbine as produced by National Postal Meter around May of 1944. what makes this even more rare and desirable is the U marked sub-contracted receiver made by Union Switch and Signal This is a top museum grade example and its a really sharp piece. National Postal Meter did not make a lot of carbines and they are avidly sought out by collectors. This is a top example and would be very hard to upgrade. Of course it features a flip sight and high wood and a great cartouched stock. If you are look for a mint carbine by one of the harder to find contractors this is just what you need. This is one of the rarest carbines to locate, its the only one we have seen.
