Co manufactured Long Charger Loading Lee Enfield Mk1* Service Rifle, Â This is the actual Handsworth Shooting Prize Presentation Rifle from the 1910 Bisley National Rifle Championship Matches. Â This custom made rifle was awarded as the “Handsworth Prize” in 1910 at the Bisley Matches. Â These presentation rifles are extremely rare and are highly sought after by collectors. Â This was an exceptionally well made publicity rifle for Birmingham Small Arms Co. and was basically an advertisement and testament to the quality of their rifle making skills. Â The Hallmarked Sterling Silver plaque gives the pertinent details of the identification of the prize and the date of 1910. Â If you cared to contact the British National Rifle Association or dug through your July 1910 editions of the London Times you could determine the gentlemen who won this cherished trophy. Â Back prior to WW1 this was probably a more prestigious event than Wimbledon is today as far as sports go. Â This is an extremely romantic relic of the Great days of the British Empire.
