VERY IMPORTANT EARLY 1934 PRODUCTION J.P. SAUER S/147/K CODE K98k MAUSER SERVICE RIFLE……ALL MATCHING DOWN TO THE ROD!!!!!

In original untouched condition, all matching down to the cleaning rod we have what could arguably be called the rarest and most sought after K98k rifle ever made…...  This is a very early 1934 production J.P. Sauer Made S/147/K code K98k Mauser Service Rifle.  So early it is the 1395th one made at Sauer.  For this rifle to have survived in this absolutely complete original state of preservation is almost miraculous.  The cartouche is still even clearly visible on the handguard.  This is a very early initial production example with the early eagle/49 acceptance proofs. This has all of the early features noted only on these very early rifles such as the unique early dual band retaining springs, which only occurred on these very early Sauer Made rifles. This is a textbook and completely orthodox example of a rifle so rare that only a few are even known to exist.  This is the only matching one that we have observed in over 30 years.  If you collect 98k’s seriously this is the one real rarity that you will probably never ever have a chance to own so complete.
