sold – IMPORTANT & RARE….1st YEAR PRODUCTION ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1912 DATED M-1912 TRIALS SWIVEL HOLSTER FOR THE COLT MODEL 1911 US ARMY PISTOL….

This is an extremely rare and seldom ever seen First year’s production Trials Model of the M-1912 Swivel Holster for the Army’s then new and revolutionary Colt Model 1911 US Army Service Pistol.  Yes, this is the correct holster for any 1911-1912 manufactured  1911 Army Pistol.  There are are several very unique features to these test holsters, the first being that the internal welt was cut modified as pictured into the outline that we are used to seeing.  Also The belt hook rode in a metal tube at the top of the holster.  As you might well imagine these holsters are exceedingly rare and just never turn up.  When we do discover one it is usually is a complete state of worn out dilapidation.  This is an exceptional survivor of more  early 110 years!!!
