In mint crisp condition with a bore and throat gauge of 1, we have a pristine condition May, 1945 Springfield Armory  production M1 Garand Service Rifle.  This is a top example of a late war production Springfield, bearing the acceptance cartouche of Norman F. Ramsey. This rifle is 100% factory original and correct.  The rifle does not appear to have been issued and probably just sat in storage for many years.  This rifle is completely correct with the un-cut op rod.  If you are looking for a mint example of a WW2 issued M1 Garand rifle you have it here.
