COLT 1903 PISTOL…. “US PROPERTY” MINT NEW UNFIRED IN THE BOX…DEC 1944….SOE ISSUED BRITISH PROOFED

In mint new unfired condition, with very little storage wear, we have an exceptional example of a US Property marked Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless .32 auto.  This pistol was shipped directly to Europe on December 19, 1944.  As this was  a British proofed pistol it was likely earmarked for the SOE, the Special Operations Executive this was the British Clandestine Service that undertook operations in Nazi occupied Europe.   This is the parkerized version with the ordnance crossed cannon cartouche and is complete with the matching numbered box, the manual,and the cleaning rod.  These pistols are very scarce and highly sought after, usually the only chance to get one new in the box is one that was sent to the SOE and are British proofed.
