In mint very sharp excellent condition, we have a top example of an early production May, 1944 production Type 2 Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine. This is a stunning example from very early in the second contract run which are encountered with a mix of early and late features, this one for example has the round bolt, and adjustable sight but the stock is still high wood. This is an original condition example and was not a rework or rebuild. This gun was made early enough that it could have been in Normandy in June of 1944 and certainly could have participated in the later campaigns such as Market Garden. The M1A1 is a very popular and highly sought after piece of equipage and its use in the airborne operations in Europe is legendary. This is a top example and more importantly a genuine example.
