Certainly one of the most interesting and unique pistols that was brought back from the Vietnam War, a trophy of the US incursion into Cambodia, we have an almost unknown Cambodian Made copy of the French MAC 50 Pistol, it is called the M66. These pistols were made for the Cambodian Military but we are not certain what the production figures were. This appears to be serial number 1001 and it still has both of the factory matching numbered magazines as well as the original Asian style holster. The pistol is well made and the quality of the markings are the equal of anything on the market at the time. This is no jungle workshop gun but the product of an advanced production facility. There is so little information available on these pistols that to say much more would just be speculation. The pistol comes with copies of the bring back documents, the family still retains the originals. This pistol was obtained from a collector, though we were told the vet is still living. This pistol is certainly an extremely unique and important firearm from this troubled period in our history and it is a wood and steel memorial to the secret war in Cambodia and the the men who fought there.
