In excellent condition with a mint blade, we have a top example of the Japanese Army Type 95 sword for non-commissioned officers. This is none to collectors as the Japanese NCO Sword. This sword is matching numbered, blade to scabbard. The maker of this sword is the Iijima Sword Factory and it was a Tokyo 1st Arsenal produced sword under Nagoya Arsenal Administration, certainly one of the best makers. These very durable combat swords were made with a painted aluminum handle to withstand the rigors of combat especially in tropical conditions. Like any Japanese “Samurai Sword”, they were highly sought after war trophies. This is an all matching collector grade example.
