SOLD US NAVY ISSUED SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1899 MILITARY AND POLICE REVOLVER…ULTRA RARE,ONLY 1000 ISSUED

In 90% all matching original condition, we have an extremely rare and seldom ever seen  Smith & Wesson Model 1899 US Navy Revolver in .38 special/38 Long Colt.   In 1900 the US Navy ordered 1000 of this new modern revolver and many stayed in service certainly until the end of WW2.  They were shipped to The Un Navy yard in Brooklyn.  This is the original initial production of the revolver that would soon be known as the Military and Police Model, certainly the most widely used and made revolver of the 20th century.  An updated version of this revolver that was made for the military would be called the Victory Model and was extensively use during WW2.  This is a very significant revolver for the Smith and the US Navy martial pistol collector, it’s very elusive and seldom seen and rarely ever this nice. This is a real find!
