In excellent mint condition, we have a very early December, 1942 production Inland made M1 Carbine. This has early features such as the I-cut stock with the flaming bomb cartouche in the sling well. Any 1942 dated early production carbine in this condition is a very hard thing to locate. Most of these rifles went straight into use and obviously whoever got this one did not have need to use it much. If you are looking for a prime example of an early I cut stock carbine you have just found a really top notch example.
