In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a US Military issued S&W victory model revolver that was sent to the US Maritime Commission in Reading PA on February 2, 1944, almost certainly used to arm the ship’s guard on a Liberty ship or some other ship in the Merchant Marine. This pistol is completely matching down even to the grips and appears to have hardly been fired. Many of these guns went to the US Navy but it is quite rare to find one with this Merchant Marine Association. This is a top example of a collectible WW2 Victory model.
