VERY EARLY PRODUCTION BYF42 P.38 PISTOL…..#1621

In 94% original very decent condition, we have a very early production serial number 1621 byf42 P.38 pistol.  This is one of the very first P.38 pistols made by Mauser and is part of the initial 1942 production run.   This is the very early variant with the 135 proofed small parts.  The bore is excellent and the pistol is of course all matching and factory original.  These very early Mauser made pistols are very interesting because Mauser had not yet perfect the production techniques and they show a certain roughness in areas, especially the front grip strap. These pistols are known for the dusty blue finish and the the proofed small parts.    As you might well imagine this is a very significant piece for the P.38 collector as it is very early and in collector grade condition. They rarely ever show up this early.
