SOLD ULTRA RARE 1936 SIMONOV 91/30 MOSIN NAGANT TRIALS RIFLE…….ALL MATCHING TOP EXAMPLE……NEVER SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE!

This is an extremely scarce and even more rarely seen Mosin Nagant Rifle.  This is a prime all matching example of the 1936 Simonov  Naval Trials Rifle to improve the model 91/30 Mosin Nagant Service Rifle.  There are several unusual features to identify these rifles, the most notable being the Mauser type bayonet lug, the modified front sight and a trials identification number on the left side of the butt stock.  You will also notice the very dark color of the stock, which is also a feature that is observed on all of these rifles.  There are thought to have been approximately 30,000 of these rifles produced but only a handful are known to day and even future in completely original condition like this example.  Because they were somewhat non-standard many if not most were sold to Spain during the Spanish Civil war and of course most of these were lost.  the rest probably did end up with the Red Navy.  This example has been in known to have come out of the woodwork around 1973 and is believed to be an actual WW2 bring back and the original condition certainly supports this view.  If you are a serious collector of Mosin Nagant Rifles or Soviet Arms this is a very significant and important find.
