In excellent condition, all matching down to the screws, we have a very scarce and hard to find 1890 dated V.C. Schilling, Suhl manufactured Imperial German Army Model Kar.88 Carbine. It has the “S” bore marking to shoot the .323 caliber ammunition and the bore is mint as well. This carbine is unit marked to a Horse depot of a supply column. It certainly was used during WW1 and issued to help guard a supply and transport Train. This is a very sharp example with great blue and beautiful cartouches in the stock. These are very tough carbines to find in any suitable condition, and you could still take this one out and fend off an attack from French Dragoons attacking the supply train.
