SOLD – COLT MODEL 1911 PISTOL……..USMC ISSUED JAN 1, 1918………WITH USMC UNIT MARKED HOLSTER………SHARP!

In 95% condition with the original USMC machine gun company marked holster that it came back with we have an extremely desirable and important USMC issued Colt Model 1911 US Army Pistol that was shipped to the USMC Depot in Philadelphia, PA on January 1, 1918.    This is definitely a gun that was used in the fighting in France that help burnish the Marine Corps Legend.  The pistol is 100% factory original and is a textbook example of Colts WW1 brushed blue production pistols.  The gun has certainly seen use and the condition is not mint, but there is nothing about the United States Marine Corps that is sit in a desk drawer mint, they used there guns hard.  This is a prime example of a gun even more sought after than the Model 1911 US Navy.
