This rifle is from the collection of the Late Charles Clawson, the renowned author of numerous books on the Colt M1911’s and a well known firearms collector. Many are not aware but Chuck collected and was interested in a variety of Military Weapons and over the years was a valued client of this firm. We have been fortunate to have obtained a few items directly from his estate.
In mint un-issued condition, we have a 1942 production U.S. Lend Lease Savage Arms made No4 Mk1* Lee Enfield British Service Rifle that bears the U⇑ property mark of the Union of South Africa. The rifle is mint matching and un-issued and was likely an early 1980’s import. The rifle appears to be un-fired and in new condition. It is in original WW2 as issued factory condition with the flip sight and the stamped front sight protector. This is a top example of a very scarce and hard to find British Commnwealth WW2 Rifle.
