In 95% very clean original and 100% correct condition, with a mint bore we have a great example of what Colt was sending to the Army in April, of 1918 for wartime service in Europe.  This is a US Army issued Colt model 1911 pistol.  This is a great example of the iconic Colt World War One service pistol.  The bore is mint and the gun is completely factory original.  This gun was shipped on April 22, 1918 to the United Stated Armory in Springfield Mass.    These pistols saw service in WW1 and were still in Army service all throughout WW2 as well.  This is a top example and the gun would rate out at 98% were it not for the wear on the front grip strap which is not all that bad.  We just got this in a collection we picked up and we are passing it on at a tremendous savings.  Finding a gun like this under $3500 is a great deal.
