SOLD VERY RARE CODE AX 1940 K98k RIFLE……ALL MATCHING…..HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER!

One of the rarest codes to locate, and the one that everybody wants in there collection, we have an all matching Erma made AX40 coded K98k Service Rifle.  Rarer than even the BSW code, the AX code was used for only a short time in very late 1940 and 1941 until Erma concentrated on making MP40 sub-machine guns.   It is estimated that only .03% of all the 98ks manufactured had this code.    This rifle is a bit combat salty but has not been messed with,  it is all matching and the bore is excellent.  The stock is quite nice and un-sanded but the cartouches are well worn and not very clear.  The many advanced Mauser collectors that we serve will recognize what a real find it is to lock one of these very scarce rifles up for their collection.  This is one of the big prizes of 98k collecting and this is the fourth one we have had in nearly 30 years.
