SOLD UN-ISSUED JAPANESE ARISAKA TYPE 44 CAVALRY CARBINE ….. EARLY 1ST VARIATION …TOKYO ARSENAL

In mint UN-ISSUED condition,MATCHING DOWN TO THE DUSTCOVER we have an early production, probably around 1914 Tokyo Arsenal manufactured Type 44 Cavalry carbine.  This is an extremely hard gun to locate in this condition, as almost all of them were used to the point of destruction in China.  When we usually see these guns they are pretty far gone. Unfortunately the crest has been ground off, it was certainly liberated out of some arsenal in Japan at the end of the war as it is still in the grease!.   The Type 44 Carbine was the standard shoulder arm of the Japanese Cavalry.  Most were used in China and they saw many years of hard rough service so they are not easy to find this sharp and almost un-issued.  If you need an example for your collection you will love this one.  While I strongly dislike ground Japanese rifles, a rare variant such as this one and in this impeccable condition certainly would be a good investment over time.
