Certainly one of the rarest carbines that we have handled in nearly 30 years in the trade, we have a fantastic Winchester M1 carbine that dates to the very early production period of January, 1943.  This is the last month that the flaming bomb dated barrels were used and this is carbine has the very early Winchester features such as the checkered safety and the early cartouche.  This carbine is very much what the earliest Winchester production looked like.  If you like your carbines to be knock your socks off stunning you just found one.
