SOLD US WW1 MODEL 1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE…ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL LATE PRODUCTION……VERY SHARP

In excellent condition, we have a very hard to find very late WW1 production, January 1919 dated Rock Island Arsenal 1903 Springfield Rifle.  This rifle was one of the rifles that was assembled at Springfield Armory after 1903 rifle  production was suspended at Rock Island and the parts were shipped to Springfield.  The rifle is completely assembled out of Rock Island made Parts but the inspection cartouche is from a Springfield Inspector, which indicates final assembly and inspection was performed at the Springfield Armory. These rifles are rare and highly sought after by collectors.  This is a top example of a US WW1 era ’03 rifle.
