In 95% condition we have a fairly significant very early production model 1934 Beretta, it is very close to being the 5000th example produced based upon known serial number data and is one of the few pistols to bear the early 1935 production date. This pistol bears the Italian army “RE” acceptance stamp and was one of the very first of these pistols delivered to the Army in 1936 as part of the initial first contract order. This pistol is all matching and has an excellent bore, and while not mint it is much nicer than we usually find these pistols, especially when considering that this little jewel was one of the first pistols that was issued to the army and likely saw continuous use right up until the end of hostilities in 1945. As far as Italian military small arms go this is a very important and desirable piece and any serious Beretta collector will find this to be a must have pistol as well. The model 1934 Beretta was one of the most desirable and well made handguns of WW2 and was a highly prized war trophy.
