SOLD – RARE SAGINAW S’G’ PRIME M1 CARBINE….GRAND RAPIDS PLANT…USMC CARRIED WITH 2 KILL MARKS!
$2,650.00
Out of stock
This carbine really speaks to you! I was told that this was a Marine corps vet bring back who shot two Japanese soldiers with it. He very deliberately carved two notches in the stock to commemorate the incident. In excellent minus Combat carried condition, we have a very rare Saginaw S’G’ prime M1 Carbine. These carbines were made out of parts from the Irwin Pederson contract. There are no and never were any actual Irwin Pederson produced and inspected carbines. The contract was cancelled before carbines were completed and the whole lot of parts were shipped to the Saginaw Plant at Grand Rapids Michigan where they were assembled using a mix of the Pederson made parts and parts from Saginaw and other contractors. This particular example has an IP marked rear. There is no rhyme or reason to these carbines, but this is example was made in September of 1943. If you are looking for an M1 Carbine that has really been there and done that, here you go, this is the real deal.
